The quality of Airtel Digital TV is not upto the mark on a LCD.Whenever i watch a bluray movie and switch back to Airtel Digital Tv I dont feel like watching it.If you watch in HD and then switch back to viewing regular channels You will feel the difference for sure.I am not a big fan of dish tv either,I am waiting for Airtel HD to launch even if they have lesser channels than dish Tru HD.

Dear frnd,
Today only I checked my dishtv no 050... I saw those Channels in my current setup box but i am not able to view or hear any sound or picture in it? Why is it so? Its showing a message Single not available? I had to pay any extra amount. My setup box is old one....
To watch Dishtv HD channels you need to have Dishtv Tru HD box, and for better performance and better picture and sound quality you must connect your Dishtv HD Box with HD tv

I dont think DTH can bring out Full HD.If you want full HD download full HD Content or watch a bluray disc.
These DTH operators telecast in 720p n calling it full HD or Tru HD is just a false propaganda.

Dishtv is providing Full HD content to their subscribers, They Telecast Dishcovery HD, NGC HD in 1080i format.
Also Dishtv is giving you FIFA world cup live in TrU HD 1080i format broadcasted by ESPN.
further Dishtv is giving you Zee TV HD and Zee Cinema HD in 1080i format as well.
So all are full HD.

Tata Sky has maximum subscribers, if they come up with Tata Sky HD with Video recording, it will Inevitably Triumph. They may also give offers to existing customers in exchange for the old STB..

Tata Sky have already lost their No.2 Position and slipped to No.3 In total Subscriber base, They are not even able to sustain their current position in Market How can they have Max Subscribers. And About Offer to existing subscriber, I am Sure Dishtv will also come up with exchange offer for existing subscriber as well.

So, existing Dish TV users have to pay that stupid 6k to watch the HD channels ?
I will better go for Airtel TV, since it displays perfect on my 42 inch Sony LCD ,while Dish TV is a pain in the A$$.
Well at present, Disht HD stb is the most economical in the market.
Further You can't compare SD telecast with HD telecast, Airtel right now don't have HD service, and have only sd telecast where as with Dishtv HD you will get 5 times better picture quality then SD telecast and 3 times enhances steriophonis Sound.

If 720p provides one of the best resolution does it mean Zee Dish tv is going to telecast FIFA World Cup in 720p to meet true HD?

Nope, DD has always broadcasted big events such as Football world cup, Olympics, etc. And the reason they get broadcast rights is due to the mass amount of people that have the channel.

Nope, DD has always broadcasted big events such as Football world cup, Olympics, etc. And the reason they get broadcast rights is due to the mass amount of people that have the channel.
1080i is HD but its not Full HD.1080p is the real Full HD as observed in HD DVD Disks or Bluray disks.The so callled HD channels do not give you the same quality as seen in a bluray disc.This is just a marketing gimmick used by DTH Operators.You can always have your own research and verify these statements.ESPN HD telecasts on 720p and not on 1080i as saurabh has stated.Dont market Dish tv by providing misleading info.
