Most of the matches are in the middle of the night! :-(
It's like the cricket world cup in Caribbean in 2007. I skipped most of the tournament. If timing wasn't the problem, India exited after the first week.
I guess India is not a target audience for FIFA.

Honestly I have no interest in seeing soccer.

I only know names of few players whose name keep coming in papers.

I got sort of attached to soccer during the Maradona era. I remember watching some matches when he was the captain and lost the championship. Do not remember the year. I used to support them before end up switching loyalty to Brazil. Today, I know only a handful of names but I still prefer Brazil over the rest.

Yes, Maradona won it for Argentina in Mexico 1986 and lost in Italia 1990.
I don't watch football or any sports like I used to but I usually manage to watch the world cup every 4 years.

Its not that bad timings after all
Most matches start at 9.30 pm
The next series either at 11.30 pm/12.30 am/1.30 am. People who watch champions league matches are habituated for these timings.
Other set of matches are at 3.30 am, most of the matches at this time are not that important (thankfully)
and some matches at 6.30 am (Yay!)
Its a boon to office goers, we can take time out for the matches!!!
