dont hate politicians because we dont have proof they have black money...............move on

Yeah. Now you will tell me how Honey Singh sung the G mein Danda as well. Pick any random song with vulgar lyrics. Attribute it to Honey Singh to cash in on the situation. Kudos.

because there is a clear cut law against public indecency? last time i checked there is no clear cut law against using MC and BC as figures of speech.

So u mean to say that glorifying rape.....brutality, is not public indecency?

yeah............no law means everything he is saying is decent .........lol

knowing zeest people personally (at least online, i manage their website for them) i can safely say that they have nothing to do with that song. they have only released two songs until now. Sutta and 100 Rupai. :)

I never believed this tbh. Just mentioned that to show how the same song has been attributed to a number of artists. Like this YT video attributes it to Zeest - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djfn1vGKzg8

Likewise the same is now being attributed to Honey Singh. Heck, he doesn;t even sound close to the guy in this.

he sang a song. did not give public speeches on glorifying rape. a song that was probably not even recorded or shot in india. if you think of him as a role model that can influence people in the country, i guess we are then ****ed as a nation already.

i guess you guys are also fine with what happened with M. F. Husain and that cartoonist against who a fatwa was released for drawing pictures of muhammad. we should start issuing fatwas against people who offend us.

and i am all for spanking of people who curse our mothers and sisters as a figure of speech on the road. i do not consider that public decency as well.

zeestmania.com is hosted on this very server. i can safely say that they are associated with just two songs. though they do public shows where they cover songs from popular musicians.

Honey Singh's song was never publicly released in India. So how can you even legally ban him? This would be akin to someone asking Sunny Leone to be banned from appearing in Bollywood because she does porn in USA - which can be accessed in India.

Freedom of expression in India

Restrictions

The freedom of speech and of the press does not confer an absolute right to express without any responsibility. .....

[11] With the same token Clause (2) of Article 19 of the Indian constitution enables the legislature to impose reasonable restrictions on free speech under following heads:

I. security of the State,
II. friendly relations with foreign States,
III. public order,
IV. decency and morality,
V. contempt of court,
VI. defamation,
VII. incitement to an offence, and
VIII. sovereignty and integrity of India.

all i can say is this ..............the law is here.

interpret it urself according to ur own conveniences

i cannot argue more on this, because common sense is not being applied here , things are being made so minute that if something is not written very very veryyyyyyyy clearly, its not being understood ................damnnnn

He is holding a public event and performing on it? And not only that, the song he sung, will be heard by anyone who has access to internet? Do u know that music has the ability to influence anyone's psyche?

As regards MF Husain.....i dont know the details of it, so wont comment. Excuse me for that!

And for the abuses.....lets take that up separately, different people with different views, we will just end up messing up with the debate.

PS: There r so many people viewing this thread.....no one has any view whatsoever? Or are scared of the controversial topic? :p

yeah. if i try to interpret the law by word, lots of people on this forum should get FIRs registered against them for defamation. and as rodeoz said... unless he is singing the song in public here in india, he is not committing an act of indecency here IN INDIA. what he does internationally? or what is available on YouTube? or what he does in his bedroom? does not justify filing an FIR against him for god knows what reason.also. keep in mind a public event is very different from a private party.
