FIR against rapper Honey Singh for 'vulgar' song

i cannot argue more on this, because common sense is not being applied here , things are being made so minute that if something is not written very very veryyyyyyyy clearly, its not being understood ................damnnnn

If you must argue on law, here it is.

Honey Singh's controversial song was not released by him, or any recording label in India. The restrictions on Freedom of Speech and Expression apply to words expressed within the territory of India, and to public at large. You can put a ban on those words, but not try the person for violating your law. The best GoI can do is ban the YT videos of his controversial song. BUT, they can not ban him from singing his other songs in public, nor ban him from recording more songs.

To give an example. Just because Satanic Verses is banned in India does not prevent Salman Rushdie from reading excerpts from Midnight's Children or to sit in Delhi and pen a new book.
 
If people really don't like him/his songs, they should boycott him rather ask to ban him. Advocating for freedom and then registering a FIR is very hypocritical.

ah i always get confused. Satanic Verses is banned in india. but Midnight's Children is easily available here in india and i imagine movie would see a release too! reviews are good. i plan to watch it!

i have realized what is happening here.

illuminati has taken over toocool's mind and body. and he is just trying to spread FUD on the forum to get more people to join his cult.

in this thread he wants us to admit that we are not capable of making logical decisions and the government should step in by putting restriction on free speech and expression just because it offends a small group of people.

i wonder what would be next. :\
 
This attitude needs changing.....till the time we have people defeding this kind of stuff, we will see such violences. Sorry for being blunt, but its the truth. These type of songs glorify the violences. People with impressionable brains, will listen to it & will get an impression, that women love being treated that way.
Who are people with impressionable brains? Kids I presume? Yes they should not be listening to this song. Just like they should not be watching porn. Its the parents duty to ensure that the children do not watch such stuff, not the governments to throw the content creator in jail.

with regards to the message he "allegedly" wants to spread, I can write a much more explicit description of some of the hindi abuses commonly thrown about, that doesnt mean that the person using them wants to spread that "message".
 
@admin, here in INDIA may be u are very good in differentiating between good and bad things in songs.. But there are more than u in this country who try to follow what is heard in songs!Do u want ur child to sing bad words in front of u??? Never.. Bcoz its INDIA!!!

I am hoping to see all the literature that is about sexual desires, adultery and stuff would be banned in India now? lol xD
 
i think we should start by banning doremon and shinchan style cartoons. they are the ones which are actually being watched by kids in this country on a daily basis.

we should also ban all kinds of violence in bollywood movies. also. comedy movies should not focus on vulgar or crude language for humor as well.

let us make this media child friendly as well. only good news should be shown on television so that kids can live in their wonderland and do not get influenced by killers or rapists or whatever.

1st thing i had no idea about his previous songs being made/released in India or not

and now i think and know that he probably released it in the internet ................and u are internet's messiah . internet is only about freedom of expression and nothing else , internet is subjective to the core , even though we pay for it and legaly get it in our homes .
