internet has corrupted some minds here for sure
it has made some fundamental changes in the morality and decency and and the way of looking upon them
everything has become what law says and what it allows .............no value to what moral says what it allows
Exactly my point in another thread.....people now are restricting themselves just to the exact wordings of the law, rather than following its intention. This mentality is really dangerous. That, coupled with the intention to even break the laws.......that is going beyond even the word of law, forget the intention.

Okay. Thanks to this thread , I now heard about 5 new songs of Honey singh whereas I've heard only one song of his "breakup party" before. Break up party was kinda fun but I agree his other songs may make some people uncomfortable. But unless he's openly forcing people to go rape women, I don't think those songs would do any harm. People who'd like to listen to those type of songs would always find them either form honey singh or someother god forsaken singh. Going by your logic, Every director who showed a rape scene in his movie should be hanged too. It doesn't make sense. Just ignore If you don't like the song and let his career die in peace. He's become quite famous due to this case against him

This attitude needs changing.....till the time we have people defeding this kind of stuff, we will see such violences. Sorry for being blunt, but its the truth. These type of songs glorify the violences. People with impressionable brains, will listen to it & will get an impression, that women love being treated that way.
If you are ringing in your New Year at Bristol Hotel, Gurgaon, then you are part of the problem not the solution! It's not some mythical being called society who is responsible for the Rape Culture, YOU are! YOU are the mind of the rapist, YOU are the sanction that the rapist needs, YOU are the brutality that was let lose on the brave girl. YOU lose your right to complain right now, if you fail to boycott YO YO Honey Singh! He is the rapist that exists in the mind of the person who actually perpetuates the crime.
Go ahead have a happy rocking new year and stop complaining now if you will allow this man to earn his riches with this psychopathic propagation of rape!

Anyway, I listened to the Ch:act-up::act-up:t song long back. The lyrics were mysoginist, but by no means was he provoking people to commit rape. I don't even think the song dealt with rape - rather domination sex.
The same people who were right behind MF Hussain and Salman Rushdie are now leading the anti-Honey Singh capaign. I find the hypocrisy of Barkha Dutt and Veer Sanghvi on this absurd.
Don't like the song. Move on.
There are people who claim Tom and Jerry incites kids to violence. But even as a kid I had the sanity to separate fiction from reality. Just because I found Jerry kicking Tom from the roof-top funny did not mean I would do the same to my brother.
These things go in circles. Today they are asking that Honey Singh be banned. Tomorrow they will ask the same for Tom and Jerry. Then they will move to first-person shooting games and then to genres of Rock Music.

@Rodeoz.....Cartoons and Songs - i hope u r able to see the difference. And still, it is always advised to an extent, that children arent exposed to an overdose of violent cartoons/any other stuff like violent Video games. Then u have disasters like the shootouts at schools.
