Fools at BSNL Kolkata

I saw the news that BSNL was doubling the BroadBand speed on certain unlimited plans on their website.

Till last Saturday I was getting 256kbps upto approx 1.5mbps but when I told about the news of doubling of BroadBand speed on their website no one at Kolkata BSNL has any knowledge of it. They don't check up their own own corporate website. Their response is that that they are waiting for a circular. When I complained to the highest authority about their ignorance, lack of professionalism and scant respect for their customer they punished me by reducing my BroadBand speed to a maximum of 512kbps.

Should I have kept my mouth shut?.

The height of their ignorance is that none of the employees at BSNL Kolkata know that the definition of BroadBand according to TRAI is that a minimum speed of 256kbps and not maximum.

For the past one week I am fighting alone against these bunch of fools.

I am contemplating switching over to AIRTEL but they are even bigger swindlers.
 
so the plan now has a top speed of 512k. and they upgraded your account to it. so what's the problem now?
 
I think he was getting 2mbps on 256 line (i.e. somehow BSNL missed to bring his account down to 256). So he was getting more speed than he shud have got. But now that he complained, it came in to BSNL's notice and they downgraded speed to 512!
 
I dont know whats the exact complain of thread starter here,but i agree to the topic...they are just bunch of fools...same case happened to me...i'm in UL 1350 plan..i asked them to upgrade speed upto 2mbps for 15gb as per their new plans..they told they haven't recieved any message/circular of this upgradation...so i asked them to see BSNL website (its given in flash news corner) and also tarrif plans has been changed..but still they are not accepting..What can i do with these ppl...

If you are a NIB I subscriber, it will take sometime for them to update your speed profile.

I had made a complaint online,so they called me..i called back yesterday to same number but none attended..

Yes i heard this from other thread...but my point is how could they be so ignorant...if they give some reasons like NIB 1/2 is the case, i would have accepted but rather i was made to teach them how to see update of their own network...
