^^ why do you even argue with him? you know, he's not going to give up.He just started another topic about 'Real time tracking of all Citizens' :O:O :pleasehelp::D

Why do i argue with him :)..only when he makes a post that makes some sense, otherwise i won't bother. So far his hit rate is about 10%, meaning only 10% of his links are from good sources, worthy of a reply. If he wants more dialogue he has an interest to improve that average.

its oked.your freedoms are dead

India is looking forward for some very crucial and significant projects and history seems to be repeating. For instance, aadhar project of India, Natgrid project of India, etc are once again in limelight. The former intends to provide a unique identification number to every citizen whereas the latter empowers the law enforcement and intelligence agencies of India with informational inputs.

Needless to mention that database collected by a single authority like census authority of India or aadhar project can be used by Indian government for as many projects as it likes. Here comes the importance of a good data protection and privacy law of India. In the absence of procedural safeguards the data and information can be misused. The government of India is ignoring and avoiding this much needed exercise.

What is privacy first of all? Banks know your financial details, various govt departments knows various things. What is wrong in merging them? Why you are so concerned about these things? Are you going to hide the degree you got in your college? It is already know to your family, friends, your empolyeers, creditors etc.,. So where is your privacy in the first place? Nothing wrong in the move.

**** can someone plz ban him.he is trolling.why dont you live in communist china if you dont like india's independence or mangal pandey bravery.those who give liberty for security neither deserve liberty nor securitywhats your age?13

he is pretty much correct in saying that the new developments are a major disaster because there are no guarantees that our data would be safe and secured properly. government bodies are known to be callous when it comes to maintaining data securely. the data collected from citizens of india needs to be secure. it can easily be misused if it falls into wrong hands. identity theft is one possible scenarios. ever thought about that?

We can get anyone's bank details if we bribe properly! So it is not hard by any means. Moreover Govt will try to get the details of a person only when it is needed. Say if I do something illegal, at present it takes long time for Govt to first establish that I am doing something illegal. They don't have my past income source other than what I gave them in Income tax if at all! If everything is linked then it will be hard for me to evade tax, do illegal activites as etc.,. As everything can be traced. If someone misuses my thing, they can simply trace him to his roots! Cannot escape that easily! As you are against linking things I am not going to tell my age :D You yourself find it :D Hint: it is already in the forum but as this forum hasn't linked my other ids it is not easy going :rolf:

a biometric card means that it becomes very easy for anyone to assume your identity. if it is stolen.

government cannot manage to ensure correct delivery of voter ID cards to us (i have got a totally messed up ID card for example).

a biometric card is going to mess up a lot of things if not implemented properly. and we can be pretty sure that the whole project would be a mess.

the project is headed by an individual who was the head of a private company. it is very hard to trust the whole project. there are way too many issues which are being ignored.

government has not really given us enough good reasons on why this new card/system would benefit us.

just because it is being done does not mean it is a good thing (for us).

ever heard the horror stories from the west? social security number getting stolen. identity theft has become a pretty common thing in the united states. india is going on the same route.

If credit card or Atm or others try to use this bio as one of the authorisations then it will help to some extent. Just simply giving a card it can be misused. But when it is used along with proper verification it should help. Just like how offices now use thumb impression as attendence. So like even if you take my card and claim it was me, your thumb info will be different.

proper verification

i do not expect my government to do it properly. are you getting us now?

the system cannot be made perfect. there is too much at stake here. and that is why a lot of sane people are protesting it. we are not just two folks on this forum annoyed with the whole concept of biometric cards. there is a lot of opposition.

here is an interesting story... My tweet was silly, but the police reaction was absurd | Paul Chambers | Comment is free | The Guardian

where the government becomes too cynical and lives of common people are made a mess.
