Clearly they dont want another Egypt like situation in India.Thats why they are trying to censor.The more hard they try more resilient we will become.We dont want India to become another China with regards to Internet.I doubt if we are a democracy after all?

Cant say about right now......but if politicians keep cornering money the way they are doing now, then i am sure 1 day we too will an uprising over here.Coz there's a tolerance limit to everything. Previously u had corrupt people but all didnt eat away 1000s crores of money. But now, every other day u see a scam and the "beneficiary" has already banked 1000+ Crores or so. Where does that go?? Swiss Banks.Does it come back?? Never.......all the taxes that we pay, goes into the development of Switzerland & they claim we are 1 of the Purest nations of all.......has to be, if u get so much money sitting at home, why will ur people indulge into malpractices??Its just a matter of time, before their support for Terrorism too will exposed.In 1857/1930/1940s, the common man fought against British.Now the common man will have to fight against bigger & more poisonous evil - Corruption.Today our blood boils, but still cant muster enough courage to stage large scale revolts. May be tomorrow, when People's blood boils, they will force out the Evil altogether........We will need another M.K.Gandhi, another Bhagat Singh, Another Subhash Chandra Bose......the list goes on.Rang De Basanti!!

May be in 2008, u didnt have Adarsh scam, CWG scam, Raja scam, Ramalinga Raju scam (I think it was end of 2008 right??)......i think i have mentioned too less no. of scams.if u see, these are very very very high value scams, and most have been unearthed since 2009-2010. Earlier the frequency was lesser than this for sure!!So may be, what was a joke yesterday, slowly starts appearing to be a viable option for tomorrow. Especially after we saw what happened in Egypt & the middle east, it seems very realistic, if things turn uglier with every passing day.

what can we do.Well for starters sue the govt against IT act 2008.It was passed witout debate.I am in touch with various advocacy groups and finally ,FINALLY we have a website dedicated to this.IT is PRIVACY INDIA which was setup in collaboration with center for internet and society Home Page — Centre for Internet and Society.

Govt wants internediaries to police content.How much compliance will they get ? What will govt do if they cannot get ppl to comply.Shut them down. pfft, this is a waste of time that is never going to see the light of day. Good to see that you have started a blog and at least are raising your voice against draconian legislation that our government is proposing or already has in place.
Current government in Delhi (i.e. UPA) is corrupt, so like every corrupt government in the world, they want to muscle the common individuals into silence. Therefore these current spate of laws designed to control the freedom of speech on the internet. Anyone who has heard Niira Radia tapes on the website of Outlook magazine is aware that mainstream media in our country is already owned by Congress party. It is the common citizen that they are afraid of and they want to make sure that common citizens stay silent so that this government can continue its loot without any hindrance.
