randomboy did you buy the modem from the market? I thought MTNL had given it to you. I was thinking of returning UTStarcom and buying 502T from the market but I will buy another one if I do hearing about its problems.

I bought it from the market.
In fact after first reading the post that these routers were having the problem of disconnection after fluctuatuion i called up the no of D-Link and asked them to sort out my problem. Theysaid that tthe line attenuation at my end was too high and so I was having this problem.
The mTNL people say that the line is absolutely fine. Catch 22 situation. Have complained to the higher authorities. Let me see what happens.
By the way friends let us not change the track of this post. Any help regarding the original problem ie frequent disconnection d/t voltage fluctuation? is still awaited eagerly.
this is not fair!!!!!!delhi is ruling capital, so they make new beneficial schemes for them (unlimited, 50rs rent etc)and mumbai is financial capital, so they make money from us!grrrrr!
GH is now bluemoon. anyway i was just kidding. i m happy with plan i am on. dont need more than 199rs a month. i just said just to have some friendly fun with all.so dont take me seriously...not even in this post!
