2 days ago when i started this thread my connection died totally:madness:... i.e. no adsl light was there even it was not blinking... i called 1504, 1500, area manager, supervisor and so many people then today a technician came and changed my router... now the connection is working again and it is also stable atleast for past 45 mins.:thumbsup:...

although my connection is stable for past 45 min. but my snr margin is still too low.....



i stay approximately 2 km away from exchange.... is there any way i can improve my snr margin and decrease line attenuation????

yes there is way to increase SNR margin, move closer to exchange!! ok jokes apart.. ur SNR margin is too low... u might try to switch modulation G.Dmt and check. or other option is to decrease ur speed from exchange to say 512kbos. it shud increase SNR margin too.

ure havin line problemtry usiin g.dmt mode to see if u gt more stabilityin router -> Advanced -> ADSL -> change mode to g.dmtsave and reboot

i tried all the modes G.dmt, G.lite and the t.145 but not much diffrence in all of them... snr margin is still as low as 2-6. got disconnected at 45 min earlier and again at 43 min. second time. my telephone line has no disturbances and sound quality is clear... currently in bridge mode also tried pppoe mode...

tried resetting the router....changed all the modes but now i m not getting adsl connection in any mode other then multi-mode.....???

Whenever I pick up the phone, my router starts rebooting endlessly. It doesn't even get connected for a fraction of a second, it reboots as soon as aal lights are on. Any ideas, guys? I don't want to call MTNL CC.
