Sorry amish i tried that , doesnt seem to help my cause , can u tell me what my modem status (given below ) indicates . I stay in mumbai - dahisar , i dont think i stay too far away from the telephone station . Yes i hear some static noise on my telephone line .My home phone line was replaced just a few months back , so i think the line from my home to the station is causing the problem , i had said the same thing to the telephone guys last time ,but they told me to check the internal wiring , i did exactly that . However nothing has changed . Just tell if i want to complaint wht exactly should i say ,bcoz i dont think any software or hardware fault is causing the problem . And where should i complaint .--------------------------------------------------------------------------Modem Status Connection Status ConnectedUs Rate (Kbps) 260Ds Rate (Kbps) 2045US Margin 21DS Margin 31Trained Modulation ADSL_2plusLOS Errors 0DS Line Attenuation 36US Line Attenuation 35Peak Cell Rate 613 cells per secCRC Rx Fast 0CRC Tx Fast 0CRC Rx Interleaved 0CRC Tx Interleaved 0Path Mode InterleavedDSL Statistics Near End F4 Loop Back Count 0Near End F5 Loop Back Count 0

using usb interface might be the cause. quite a few people have faced unstable connections when connecting through usb. try using lan.what exactly is the problem while using lan? are you able to view the router home page? make sure all your connections are proper.

Hi,I too have noticed that after i get DC from MTNL, unless i disconnect and reconnect myself.....WinXP is slow to detect a disconnection.I downloaded 'raspppoe' but wasnt able to set it up. It gave a stipid error message.

Now, all of a sudden, my line's back to normal without my doin nethin. Dunno y MTNL guys never give me a chance to complain over the helpline ;)

here from abt 3hrs.. i am getting frequent disconnection. sometimes within 3-4 mins or sometimes session lasts even 45-55 mins. ADSL goes and comes back. waiting if problems happens tomorrow too.

^ looks like the problem has been transfered on to your line. :P

lol no prob from abt 2 and half hr right now. so must be some temporary prob at exchange.
