frequent disconnections

hi all, i read the thread (link at the end )

read all this thread bt cud nt find the solution :S........since past one week i am facing frequent disconnection.....evry time i hv 2 restart my computer (within 30 mins.):wall: i called there helpline.....lineman came and he saidd evrythng is fyn........internet worked well that day bt nw it is bck with the the same old irritating problem.....plzz. help........(if u wnt screenshots of my modem status thn plzz also telll me the way to upload it)

okay..i'm assuming that you know how to enter into your modem page..go through the page and search for details like SNR margin, Line attuneation etc..Now to take the screenshot in windows, press printscreen key on your keyboard.then go to windows start ---> accessories------> paintSelect "edit" option and the "paste"..now you can save the file from "file" option.If you are in Linux just enter the printscreen key.It will open up a prompt to save the file.go to any image uploading website like imageshack.us and upload the pic there..they will provide you with a link which directs to your uploaded image.post that link here.:thumb:

hey there is no problem with your line at all..Both SNR margin and Line attenuation are quite good..Check whether your modem or splitter is faulty.if possible get hold of a modem from your friend and check weather u r encountering the same disconnection problem.

well, splitter splits your telephone line into different parts which you connect to broadband, parellel phones etc..it's a small box..

make sure that your telephone line comes to splitter first and then to other connections.

Modem "don't care" can connect directly to Phone Junction.

In phone extension lines in other rooms USE ADSL Splitter for phone/s.
