Im getting excitel installed day after tomorrow.
Please share your experience with excitel broadband.

@Sushubh you are welcome to comment. You are using excitel as primary and airtel as secondary, why is that?

faster in what sense? DL/UL Speeds?
Which plan you are using? If its 300Mbps, do you get 300Mbps+ whole day or there are times when you get low speeds?

300mbps is not global of course. I am struggling with fastly powered domains for example. Downloading a 2MB file from IMDB can take 10 Seconds probably because of a similar issue with cloudfront. Peered services like Google and Microsoft are usually always fast.

I meant on speedtest sites like fast, ookla, mlabs etc.

those are pointless right if you are getting 30% packet loss on reddit cdn?

i usually get 260-280 on speedtest.net. cloudflare speedtest is usually in 150-200 range. fast.com usually touches 300mbps because netflix is peered. other speedtests are usually under 150mbps.

maybe your area has many excitel customers and that is causing low speed. Speeds were like this since the starting of your connection?

used to be fine in early days. you are missing the point tbh. 250 instead of 300 on speedtest is not going to make any difference in regular use of the web.

it does touch 300 past midnight whenever i have given it a test.

in the end, i would rather have reddit/imgur/imdb images load fast than getting 50mbps more on speedtest.net 😬

how do you measure packet loss to reddit? Packet loss is consistent 24*7?
