Need help. I want to disassociate the google account currently in use in Gmail app but can't find a way to do so. Help. There's an option to add new account to it but can't seem to find a way to remove old accounts associated with it.

the primary account used by gmail is the one that you used to login to the phone. you cannot remove that account without resetting the phone.

It is going to use the email address you used to register your phone.
You cannot change that, till the time you factory reset and re-register the phone with the desired email address.

Disable email sync for that particular account.

I am assuming he is sharing the phone/tablet with family members?
If it is a tablet, Android lets you create different user accounts. If it's a phone, sadly, you would have to deal with it in some other manner.
