Good download speed but can't browse

I started using MTNL broadband since last month. MY connection gives me good download speeds but i just cannot seem to browse. Every time i have to browse the net i need to reboot the router after which i can browse for 10-15 mins before the connection dies. Meanwhile the downloads carry on in its usual excellent speed. I use the D-Link GLB-802c modem. Is there a problem with my router setting. Please help

ya, it seems so... change DNS to opendns - visit OpenDNS | Providing A Safer And Faster Internet ; also change MTU settings to 1492 - in ur modem/router (u need to search in the modem) and in windows (by using dr.tcp - search google)
