Will I get sms code for login each time?

Please explain the logic with examples of different clients.

I guess there are limitations with application specific password.

---------- Post added at 11:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 AM ----------

my application password is applicable to google talk, OE, Nokia IM Client
So why there is need to create different application specific password?

There is a way to invite, but not all can. I can add the email ids provided.

What is that way?

i have no real desire to use it... but i would probably give it a test when i get my next phone. using it through sms is sort of painful. android app is likely to be much better experience. (i hope!).

yahoo has Disposable Email Addresses option
It let you hide your real email address and with Disposable Email Addresses you can't login but can send/reveive emails.
So I find it excellent option if you are not using your own domain emails.

yep i use Yahoo's disposable email address a lot... must be having abt 7-8 IDs...used for registering... it allows u to catch easily which sites are actually selling ur ID to others.

technically, you can use + sign to create unlimited disposable email ids on gmail too. :|i guess it is not as good of a feature coz your primary email id remains visible in the disposable ids you create. so i suppose, that does not work out for you.

u r forgetting the point... its disposable... which means.. if an ID is getting too many SPAM/unwanted email u can simply delete that ID and then u wont get those SPAM.with plus scheme, as u said.. ur ID is visible plus u will need to create filters if u want to stop using that ID. but some spambots are smart..they remove everything after + sign so u will start getting mail on ur REAL id, so its not truely disposable.

yeap. you can use . too but yeah. disposable ids are probably a better idea on this front.

ah well. i think the feature we are discussing here is/was known as profiles. i remember creating new ones just to use on messenger. you can technically create a secondary account on gmail and use that for suspicious sites. but yes. yahoo profiles enables you to create faster fake ids that can be killed easily. so yes, that is something that is cool about yahoo.
