Righto. Have been hearing a lot about this on Google+. Have not received the update on either of my devices though :tongue:

Everyone is saying battery life has improved. However I am experiencing its draining faster Dan 4.2. What to do?

Give it a day or two. I had a massive battery drain on day 1 when 'Android System *backup*' was keeping the device awake for most of the time.

Here is something Google is doing in Android 4.3 to publicly shame apps that use lazy coding to keep the app running in background.
Also should add here. My phone was crawling on 4.2.2 for a long time. I reset the device two times in the last couple of days and performance has improved significantly. I expect it to get even better with Android 4.3 update.

I see absolutely no difference on my nexus 10, no changes in the UI, no considerable improvements in performance, nothing. Waiting for Key Lime Pie.

Issue #1: When I browse through my contact list on WhatsApp, the display pictures flicker (once or twice) and then become stable. I guess this had something to do with WhatsApp. I guess an update will be on its way.

That's not an issue. It does that to update the profile pic.
