The feature that i m looking forward to is the Face recognition. Looks really useful. Just hope that the camera doesnt get fooled by ur pic, instead of ur face!

it's stupid to consider that a security feature. i would look at it more like a cool thing to showoff or a convenience feature. i am more looking forward to the people app. the contact list is pretty crappy. ;

I just saw the voice to email feature (not sure what it is officially called).Looks cool.

Y not a security feature? Suppose its stolen, u get that much more time to realise that its stolen & start efforts in tracing it down.And when someone else takes ur phone without ur knowledge to read ur personal messages or something, they cant unlock it without ur permission! In drawing patterns, or in keying Pins, if u want tight security, u have to make it all the more complicated - in the end u get fed up urself, as it annoys u too.But in this thing, its difficult for others, plus very easy for u to unlock the phone.

CM and MIUI have already started developing ROMs for ICS. will be out in 2 months... so in Jan we can expect a new ICS 4 custom ROMs on popular mobiles.

you do realize that you would have to setup a backup in any case? what if the phone stops recognizing you at all? google just cannot make it a standalone option.

And the contact list.....i just find it somewhat annoying especially in messaging. When i type the name....firstly it starts its on predictions. Suppose if i want to message or call some "abcdef", it starts predicting Words by the time i type abc, that are nowhere in my contacts.And still after i type in abcdef, it still shows me "[email protected]" as an option, if i have the email id of that contact. Is there any setting to change either of the 2?

dude. my google contacts has like 6500 entries. most of them mailing lists and dead email addresses from junk collected over the years. my contacts list crawls on my phone. :P

google just cannot make it a standalone option.

Yeah, so if its not a standalone option, i can set a complicated pattern, or password as backup. So for others, it wud be very difficult to break into it & for me, if the phone does stop recognising me, then i have to key in that password once, and ask the phone to recognise me again - isnt it?

Atleast i m saved from drawing a complicated pattern, or keying in a complicated password, everytime i have to check the notifications, or the battery level, or simply take a sudden snap of something!

Hah, thats why i was asking, if u knew any way out of it! :D
