Till date I was having a problem, I am using a tablet & in effort to save data via sim, I thought why not use wi-fi via my laptop to use on tablet, so I started a ad-hoc network with settings from XP, also then tries connectify with advice from eseebee, But MY tablet or other android wont see the ad-hoc wi-fi

Now on quest why is this happening I read,read & read, finally found that NO android device can access AD-HOC wi-fi, so now wha but ultimate reading & digging got me to this

What is WiFi Direct Connect in Ice Cream Sandwich?

essentially it is saying that with ICS 4.0 we will have ability for ad-hoc for wi-fi, but also wi-fi shared between devices for data transfer between them.....
How cool is that..

so ICS will have ability to make your android device connect to ad-hoc devices. YAYAYAYAYAYA

WiFi Direct is not an ICS feature. the Galaxy note running gingerbread has it.

@operai just saw a tab at 89$ with Android ICS....free shipping and all...you might know..its Ainol Novo..But i'm not sure about the custom duties....do you know anything...??I know this the wrong place...but just a single reply that's all i need..!!

I've also heard alot about Ainol Novo 7. It doesn't have a SIM slot, so it kills half the fun.
