It is available in stable build too but needs to be turned on manually here: chrome://settings/content

Off late a lot of adwares are getting k injected in Chrome.

I start getting random pop-up ads and then when I check Extensions there are usually unwanted adware extensions which get installed.

Even on uninstalling the extensions they are again installed after few days. Anyone familiar with this issue?

I resetted Chrome but that didn't help either.

Yes. My dad. On a separate Windows user account.
But hardly. Like once in 3-4 months.

that is strange. chrome is no longer supposed to allow external software to enable extensions without user approval.
go through the program list thoroughly and uninstall any app that seems like junk.
chrome://extensions/ would let you install apps from chrome.

use an app like this:
Remove annoying toolbars from your browser | Avast to check for browser related malware.
