Chrome Canary has dark mode now from the looks of it.

lol. it is dark out of the box. could not find any setting to disable it

and the menu is basically invisible.

looks like it is taking the setting from windows 10.

google has killed chrome://flags/#enable-fast-unload in new builds of chrome. very annoying.
