Even opera is based on chromium open source and theres an extension which allows us to install chrome apps in opera. I was skeptical but all chrome extensions work perfectly on opera. I don't know how.

I got the notification on my desktop today.

It's connected to your Android device. I am not sure it would appear for people who do not have a connected Android device with the same ID.

In Chrome Dev at least, chrome:flags/#enable-direct-write seems to have started working without disabling sandbox. It's buggy so some websites might look extremely hideous.

If you are using Chrome on Windows, you should definitely try out this. The text rendering is much much better!

I started getting google now in chrome about 2 days back. But it seems half baked. I have set the temp to be shown in C but it still shows in F. Also scores of the current match arent shown in the pop-up. Please check the screenshot.
