Hangouts for me hardly works. Keep getting Server troubles whenever I try to login. Same message in Chrome app, Gmail Hangouts and on Plus website. Has anyone else faced this?

The messages you are seeing happens when connectivity is too bad at my place.

1) Hide the film strip at any time. The updated Cameraman app (https://goo.gl/NBbjc) lets you broadcast and record only the main video feed whenever you want. Bringing back the film strip is likewise just a click away.
2) Mute new participants, automatically. To reduce interruptions during your broadcast, the new Cameraman app also lets you mute new participants whenever they join.
3) Better screencasts and 1-2 person broadcasts, by default. Regardless whether you use the Cameraman app, we’ll hide the film strip whenever you’re screencasting and/or when there’s only 1-2 participants.

Any chances of getting the invisible option back in it?

Google has said that they would bring back some of the features from Talk to Hangouts.
Invisible is one of the most asked feature. Along with more visible status. I would be happy if they allow sorting by status.
Hangouts for Chrome has already seen 2-3 updates I believe. But they were minor updates with no visible change.

It's being requested as people have got used to the 'Online' feature on Google Talk. I think they should stick to the current mode and try making it more cross platform, just like Whatsapp. Make it available to every damn phones and I'm sure it will succeed.
Whatsapp never had these features, still it succeeded.
