So people who are buying it... What's the main purpose for you guys? E book reader? Games? The main turn offs for me are small screen size, no expandable storage and no 3g option. The price is too tempting though. Don't know whether it's worth the price or not.

might not be worth much because google has no content available here in india. but it is still a solid purchase for a second computing machine. email checking, web browsing, movie watching etc.

two things... 1. google had to keep the costs low. they are competing with the ipad in this market which is already exceptionally well priced. there are enough android based tablets in the market with 3G. there was no need to compete against something that already existed. they had to take on kindle fire and they have done it well though Amazon would kick back with the second generation kindle later this month or next. 2. Asus would probably launch a 3G version on their own. and this version could actually arrive in the indian market. google is unlikely to launch it on their own because they have not launched any product in india officially until now. asus has to offer service support for this tablet so it is likely to be sold with their branding in markets like india.
