Yep...Google releases the AOSP source code to the community and the community tweaks it. There are varying degree of builds...some very very close to the AOSP Builds (Peter Alfonso, Oxygen)..some in the middle (Cyanogenmod) with a mix of their tweaks to the interface..and the others go the other way with a massive overhaul (MIUI)
 
i gave up. could not wait any longer. updated to ICS manually. took me less than 15 minutes. everything seems to be working well.

Looks like you got the latest sandwich version.!:smiley-fart005:My android version in Galaxy Nexus is 4.0.2Kernel 3.0.8-gaa2611Build no ICL53FI will wait for official update for the Nexus-s as Iam not using it (removed all my a/c's) and used as a secondary internet phone.
 
battery life is horrible on this build. and it is not clear when google would release an update to fix the issues with battery life on the nexus s.
 
disabling location services seems to have done a good job saving battery life.

but as you can see that the drop is pretty significant every time i use the device. :D

next couple of weeks are going to be very interesting.
