Google, OpenDNS, Cloudflare DNS with Airtel XStream Fiber feels very slow.

for router level. just make 2-3 accounts and change them when you run out of queries. again if you don't want to pay. i mean dns would still work just fine. ad blocking and other features would not work.

this is why i stopped using it on router level and just have 2 accounts shared between multiple devices. it is a one time setup and works when you are out of the house as well. i really don't understand why anyone would bother setting it up on router level. unless you are using something like a pihole and caching queries locally. if you are going to use NextDNS as primary dns, best to run it directly on devices.

dunno. i am using openwrt for dual wan and more control on what device connects through which isp. seems too much work to keep it running just for dns when cloud solutions exist.

I am also using OpenWRT for dual-wan.
Failover is working fine, Excitel(Primary), Airtel (secondary).
I failed to do load balancing. It shows Excitel sometimes, sometimes Airtel so I gave up on it.

My dream of hitting 700Mbps, 400Mbps(excitel) + 300Mbps(airtel) shattered. :(

i am using failover as well. BUT, since i prefer excitel for browsing (airtel blocks too many domains)... airtel is used on pi and some other devices exclusively. seemed like a waste to use airtel for just when excitel goes down when i am paying more for it than i am paying excitel lol. so i use it for torrenting and some of the mobile devices at home coz 100mbps is enough for them. fire tv and laptops in the house go through excitel.

Yeah, those who need 24*7 connectivity, have to go through this.
Though I am thinking to downgrade Airtel to 100Mbps for now than disconnecting as Excitel went down twice in last 5 days.

I have 4 sources of Internet now because of must 24*7 internet.
Airtel Fiber, Excitel, Airtel postpaid and Vi postpaid.
