Yes, it actually is annoying when u r reading something on search page and it grabs attention by popping up.I dont know why google hasnt given option of disabling it in search settings.
exactly. google realizes that sorting through hundreds of thousands of messages might not be technically feasible so they are not offering it at all. hotmail offers it and would not work in big inboxes.
