Google has similar problem last year too...I think I better save my Gmail data somewhere else too.
 
Yes have already set up the forwarding option in another of my surviving gmail account. The one which got disabled was kind of secondary email to me, but can't even imagine what I would have done if they had done something similar to my primary gmail id.
 
it’s important to note that email sent to you between 6:00 PM PST on February 27 and 2:00 PM PST on February 28 was likely not delivered to your mailbox, and the senders would have received a notification that their messages weren’t delivered.

yes... but i just did few checks and think my mailbox was not affected by this.
 
they are not saying that you lost your mails during the period :) they are just saying that the mails were not delivered. generally, mail servers would send the mails again automatically :|
 
Nope.. mails wil not be delievered again... original sender gets a message saying "this gmail account is disabled".. so mails are indeed lost.
