Google Wave is now Apache Wave!

I think it is meant to be a replacement for e-mail.The Wave Into video says what would e-mail work like if it were invented today instead of 40 years ago. As of know, it is a work-in-progress. Needs a lot of work. Unless mail is integrated, it's useless for me.

it cannot replace email because google does not own or operate all the email IDs in the world!

OK replace email was a bad choice of words. What I meant was the ability to integrate GMail into Wave (subset of Wave).Also, People should be able to collobarate with Wave using their non-google email ids. I think this can be achieved using Google Wave Extensions.If Wave is not going to integrate traditional e-mail with its idea of "new" email, it is going to be useless for me at least.
