Just look at how rapidly it is developing.People over there do not have much problems with the government.There is a co-ordination between people and government.

The main thing I like is their rapid development.

Now tht's funny ... seriously ...

U expect ppl to say something abt govt when they know tht they will be hanged for no reason whatsoever ???

Beijing or Shanghai don't make China ... and Chinese govt don't let foreign media or even their own media to explore other places ... tht's where the truth lies ... They have all kind of restrictions on web, media or any other form of communication ....

Those who raise the voice r made silent like Tiananmen square massacre ...

China is not and will never be an ideal communist country ... In fact communalism can never be successful

U don't need to go further to learn evils of communist govt ... Just learn wht happened at Nandigram ...

I agree democracy too has its share of evils ... but with time democracy always improves a country but tht's not the case with communist govt ...

Communism is THE MOST EVIL POLITICAL SYSTEM EVER INVENTED. It does not tolerate dissent. It does not understand the meaning of the words "rights" and "freedom". Go to Wikipedia and read about Stalin. He is responsible for the death of at least three times as many people as Hitler, his goons and his concentration camps - all for communism. Compared to Stalin, Hitler was a saint.

On Topic: Opening ceremony was just wonderful and certainly taken such ceremonies held to a next level. And even there were news about Clouds being rid off from the venue.Off Topic: Communism never seem to be best option for development. It may develop a state (nation) but not its people. There are many reports that common man in China suffers like hell, only that news never comes out. And as mentioned, where are Indian Communist states like Kerala & West Bengal in terms of people's development & prosperity?

some mediocre things i noticed...when they showed bush on the giant television screen outside the birds nest stadium where a fu@katon of people had gathered, the people "booed" bush and when the picture of russian president was showed they all clapped.being on the communism note... communism is infact better than most or all forms of political govt/system but sadly, communism in theory does not exist and is not possible.chinese communism is different from russian communism which is different from cuban communism. which practical form of communism are you people talking about???

how did you come to that conclusion, communism doesn't allow free speech, it doesn't allow individuality, it sends dissenters to concentration camps, if anything communism is probably the second worst system, i believe the worst is fascism.

On topic: I don't think holding a Olympic game can is any measure for superpowerdom, i agree china is the closest to being the next superpower, but it is not a superpower yet.
