Scropion, Mpeg4 is better than Mpeg 2. Remember that mpeg4 is a not a format but a compression. An Mpeg4 setop box is backward compatible with Mpeg2 ,where else it's not possible the other way around. It's something like mp3 vs aac! or mp3 vs ogg!.....u get twice the clarity with same amount of compression.
