Has BSNL stopped charging rent for ONT?

I have BSNL FTTH taken directly from BSNL. I have taken TYPE A ONT on rent. But in the bill they dont charge rent for the ONT. In the bill its written like this
"Plan FTTH-FREE-NON-WIFI-ONT-TYPE-A". Anybody has any idea?

My bill comes 990Rs for 50 Mbps plan 600 Gb data

Personally, I would recommend a Huawei pure bridge model, but that isn't easily available in India HG8010H for EPON and HG8310M for GPON. You'd need to order from AliExpress.

What was the total amount? Was it ₹8239 +19%gst Guess around 9804? And does this plan have that next year 20% reduction? Cuz I can't see that on website. 20% offer only available for 849 plan for now.

Syrotech/Netlink all seem to use the same OEM so it would essentially be the same internally.

AliExpress still working? I read somewhere that transport from china is banned because of the corona virus?

I already posted a link to TP-Link ONTs before, but it seems some are out of stock in India, but you can get them from international sites instead.

Personally I'm anti-"made in India" products since the quality is trash. Go for a cheap ONT from any famous networking company instead. Avoid Huawei though.

Yeah it still works. Yeah there was a delay for sometime, but now things are smoother more or less. Please navigate to the ONT management UI and check status pages etc to confirm that it is indeed working in GPON mode.

If you have confirmed its GPON, you can get HG8310M. Please note that these are pure bridge models, you need to pair it with a wireless router, you cannot make the PPPoE connections from this ONT.

Mostly there won't be duty. You can also check on IndiaMart - Huawei Hg8310m Gpon Ont
