@ajuravi , finally i got the hATHway STB and the STB name is Cisco manufactured in ATLANTA , i am getting most of the pay channels (more than 30 channels ) and the picture quality is good (better than dishtv) , channel switching is fast , but the cons are the display menu which occupies large space when changing channels , is there any way i can reduce the timeout for the channels display???(in dishtv there is an option to reduce the time to minimum 2 seconds for the display panel) and i am not getting Neo Sports plus channel ..

I face exactly the same problem but i dont know how to solve and i believe we cant solve it too..........and FYI- i am not getting the Neo Sports Plus channel as by default the STB with Smart card is activated with some 30 pay channels once your form reaches hathway they will activate your desired package or desired alacarte channels..... By the way which package or channels have you opted..........The display menu really irritates me where as in SCV display menu is smaller in size........:thumb:

the operator said that i will get the maximum pay channels free for first four months , i didn't select any packages till now , he said at the end of 4th month he will come with package details and i have to choose from that ... I asked him why i am not getting Neo Sports Plus channel , he said i will get it after 10 days ,I badly need Neo sports plus channel... What to do with display menu ?? it is the most irritating thing in Hathway STB.

U hav to give 500rs first , then they will bring the stb with smart card (stb and smart card belongs to Hathway) , u will get some 40 pay channels free for first four months , after the end of 4 months ,,u have to choose a package starting from 50rs ,. The picture quality is good , channel switching is fast .... I was also using Dishtv till yesterday , now i removed it and thrown it to the store room./..

@ajuravi.hi sir after purchased my hathway box they gave many pay channels later on they cut.only wt we mention in that application form i select 20 channels for rs115pm a(460 beofre 4months) all 20 pay channels are coming for me properly without any distrubance and this is the 4month for me

Answers
1 & 2- I had STB earlier and hence my cable wala replaced it with Hathway Cisco STB with out any addional cost. IF I was a new customer to buy the STB the cable wala asked me to deposit Rs. 500 for smart card.

3. My cable man did not force me to choose compulsary package rather he left it with me to choose either a pack or alacarte channels.........in this regard i have selected 12 pay channels on alacarte basis and i paid Rs. 6 per channel inclusive of tax and i paid Rs. 72 for only one month........

4. I think even if arasu cable is alunched i think Hathway will provide the STB...........and i personally feel that ARasu and Hathway will have some business understanding

5.My cable wala replaced my SCV STB freely when i switched to hathway..

Thanks for the info nravishankar....can you please tell for how you got the pay channels for free apart from the 20 pay channels which you had selected...........

Dear Ajuravi Thanks for your reply. I think I have to wait for 1 more month to get clear picture of how many cable operators switch to arasu cable. Many pay channels including sun channels are not available in arasu cable. Unless arasu cable gets assistance from hathway we will not be able to view those channels.

I dont think Arasu Cable will be launched in Chennai atleast in near future and i dont think they will be able to successfully run the cable in other parts of tamilnadu. Now a days there is no news on arasu cable too..........:hysterical:

In September it was told that Arasu cable launch in chennai was postponed to Nov/Dec 08 while it was launched in other parts of TN on Sep 15
