Wikipedia is not the correct source for thsi info.
The page only gives a comparative view of what HD channels are being offered by various operators and is surely not a definitive view. In fact, there was no listing for Hathway on the page. I personally added the same.
The correct source for checking this will be the MIB website where permissions to channels under downlink regulations are mentioned and the webistes of the channels/aggregators. Whilst many channels may be available over the skies of India, no cable operator or DTH player can put these channels on their network unless the channel has downlink permission from the MIB. Both channels that you have mentioned above are not available in HD yet.
Yes, I agree that MIB permission needs to be taken. But I assume that since both TLC and AP in HD are simulcast in SD/HD resolutions, there may not be any MIB hassles. Even so if there is no feed available as of now, we can still wait till it comes on.
The point that both myself and Gopi bhai want to make is that it is better to provide HD versions of channels which would really make a difference compared to their SD versions. Channels that might require high res picture and/or sound. Hence, infotainment, sports,
music and movie channels rank much higher than channels like CNBC or even Colors and Star Plus and Zee. All CNBC shows is numbers, graphs and talk. There is hardly anything that actually warrants a HD coverage! And I'd rather not see the saas-bahus in HD!!

And all of us are still waiting for your answer to why hathway is not able to negotiate a good rate with ESPN HD and Star Cricket HD?
Indeed. Just that one step which keeps me from switching from SD to HD.
