Hathway - Poor Service Delivery

Applied for 5 Mbps ZIP LITE UNLIMITED connection on 1st February 2012 with Rs.1050/-. Upload speed while using Skype was bad & extremely slow from 1-3 Feb. With frustration did a speed test on 3rd Feb and was surprise to know that upload speed is 480 Kbps. Immediately applied for disconnection on 3rd Feb. Vendor engineer informs on Monday, 6 Feb that 512 Kbps is the upload speed provided by Hathway. All these conditions are NOT available on website, application form, payment receipt, or installation report. Surprise to receive a bill on 6th Feb for Rs.2075/-. Still the disconnection not done but vendor is trying to find reasons to continue.

That IS the upload speed almost all ISPs provide on ADSL connection. Although in my case Airtel provides 4Mbps d/l and 710Kbps u/l. Don't expect much from these local ISPs.
