BSNL Dataone
Hii guyzz, I had applied for BSNL Dataone 500Home Plan 3 months ago, last week I got my connection at my place but BSNL peeps were unable to provide me with the modem. So I order ADSL modem from the market, and the owner gave me D-Link 502GLB ADSL2 modem.Without any querries in my mind I bought the modem and tried connecting bsnl, but failed. That was the time I came to knew about Broadband forum, I went thrugh all the articles and HELP provided by Members and was finally able to connect my modem and get net working on my PC and Laptop. Since I have applied for 500Home Plan , I use to start my Torrent download in night and always used to get 150-220kbps from torrents. I m damm impressed and was happy that my modem was working in PPOPE mode without applying the so called PATCH which i read was neccesary for GLB502T to work in PPOPE mode.
But suddenly last night I was getting very low speed 20-30kpbs from the torrents. So I taught connecting in Bridge mode.Wen Connected in bridge mode I got speed around 200kbps which I always used to get in PPOPE mode. The problem was I wasn;t able to connect to any seed in PPOPE mode and was connected in DHT. But in bridge mode I got connected to seeds and got many peers for download.
Here's the image of my modem specs.

Can anyone plzz tell wat wen wrong suddenly in my PPOPE mode so that I wasn;t able to connect torrents seed ???
Do i need to patch my modem, if yes than plzz provide me with the patch file(Sorry but I wasn;t able to download from the link provided for Patch file in this forum)

Nops I never changed any other settings of Modem accept creating new connection and Saving all and Resetting.@ Essbebe how can that support link help me ???

Fine. If you don't want to read the user manual you can ignore the links. You have mentioned something about a patch and download link failure. May be the wanted information could be in the user manual issued by the company. And since you are sure you have not changed anything , better to wait for the "patch".

if u were getting good speeds in torrents earlier,,chances are that there is nothing wrong in the current setup of the modem

before jumping into conclusion, first go to bsnl website Dataone WebMail
and check ur speed.

there are many reasons for getting slow speed in torrents, other than fault in ur modem.

so first check ur speed in bsnl site.

if u get good speed in site than u need to look into the following site..
Tutorial to Maximizing BitTorrent Speeds with uTorrent - Bootstrike.Com

hope it helps

Thankxx saurav for the link and suggestion, but I have also mentioned that in PPPOPE mode I m not even able to connect to any seed which is the cause for low speed, in bridge mode I was able to connect to seeds. So now can u tell me what went wrong ???EDIT : Can anyone tell me if my modems needs to be patched or D-Link have already upgraded there firmware to work in PPOPE mode???Also let me know how to autodial pppoe connection from pc wen running in bridge mode while connection is lost
