I am noticing high Loaded Latency on wired connection from JioFiber Router as well as the AP connected to the JioFiber Router. The issue persist even when most devices are on idle. What could be causing it? How can I go on resolving it?
Share router model. I have same issue, people on this forum told me that the issue is with the router itself, the router is not optimized for QOS. Rest the connection is fine.
Its precisely for this reason I wish there was a bridge mode for Jio router and that i could use that worthless box just as a modem instead of a router.
@Yatch it would have been the same. Bandwidth is going through the jio ONT. Its management with Bandwidth and Ping is pathetic, so would have been the same.
@nishantt6969 I am using JCOW401.
And I disagree with what what you said. If the ONT were in bridge mode, than it would not have been handling the bandwidth. It would just have acted as a converter from fiber optic to ethernet. I could have used a better router for better QOS/ Bandwidth management/ traffic prioritization etc.
That's the reason if Airtel would be available here I would switch in a heartbeat because it allows bridge mode, and I won't have to depenent on the crappy ONT firmware for handling QOS etc.
@Yatch Yeah man, I feel you. I have shifted to a different city just a week ago and here only Jio Fiber was available so had to take it. Previously I was using airtel only. The airtel broadband site shows launching soon for my city and I am able to see airtel DP box on the same pole as jio has installed their DP box. But no contact information of LCO who is going to give connection, so I am stucked.
