How do i know the password of my connection?

I got broadband form airtel yesterday, now they are isuing 110BX1 modem which does not have usb connection, only ethernet is possible, but i want to use my old airtel modem which had both USB and Ethernet modes, so to use my other old modem i need username and password to my connection, so any of you guys know what passwords they are using these days?... previously they were using telephone number as password, but now they have changed, i tried contacting the technical person for password but he refuses to give, he says it's configured in your modem and you don have to worry, kinda answer.. but i need to use my old modem.. what are my options??... and this new modem does'nt let my xbox connect to live.... somehow have to get rid of this new modem crap..

i asked them to reset my password.. and configured my old modem .. that new modem had a new software.. does that do any good.. any difference in speeds becoz of sotware?... is it necessary to update teh software?

airtel bx1 and bx has usb...the newer modems dont have usb coz it corrupts the modem(airtel eng. says so)... the new firmware for bx1 disables the usb ... the airtel agent upgraded the firmware without my consent and usb is not working now
