How many of you expect to use 4G on your devices in next two years?

Do you plan to subscribe to 4G LTE as soon as it becomes available on your phone?

Be realistic.

I have seen multiple folks here and elsewhere who complain about a new model missing support for 4G LTE. The Mi4 being the latest example. Just wanted to ask, how many here plan to subscribe to 4G LTE services on their primary smartphone in next two years. I do not expect myself to. 3G is sufficient for most mobile purposes and LTE is unlikely to be cheaper.
 
4G launch in India is a disaster.

Major cities like Mumbai and Delhi have non-existant 4G coverage. Major players like Vodafone, MTNL, BSNL are uncertain about their 4G plans. Reliance Jio is taking forever to launch their 4G services.

Apparently the telcos are trying to cash in on their 3G auction expenses before moving to 4G.

So it will take 3-4 years to have proper 4G for everyone. By that time, the world would have moved on to 5G.
 
Vodafone has 4G in Mumbai? I can not see it on their website.

Should try 4G on phone. Never tried.
 
I will try 4G when it becomes available... I don't think difference between 4G and 3G tariffs will be high, as operators paid more for 3G spectrum than 4G (per MHz), imho.. Or at least till reasonable adoption takes place, they have to keep 4G tariffs at par with 3G initially.. At least the tariff for corporate customers will be reasonable, I guess..

I travel a lot. Airtel is going to start 4G in Andhra first and then TN after 6 months. I hope within a year, 4G will be usable like first year of 3G services.. But I have only very little hope on RJio...
 
I started using Vodafone 3G since its trail launch and continued to use it after it became commercially available. Later I also used Tata Docomo 3G and Idea 3G (still using as Vodafone 3G not working at my home).
About 4G as well, whenever it is available, I would like to use it. But I am not sure if my Lumia 830 supports 4G LTE. International version of Lumia 840 does support 4G LTE, and I hope by hardware needed for 4G LTE is present in my handset and by some software update my handset become 4G ready :)
 
Frankly, I don't see the need to, as of now. Rcom 3G is fast enough for me. If 4G can hit 20mbit consistently then only will I consider getting 4G (and a supported phone)
