1200. 200 bucks loss on goods; 1000 bucks from his own pocket to the shop keeper. Edit2000. 1200 plus 800 paid to lady. :p

1000 rs. he will give back to other shopkeeper + 800 rs. he gave to the lady for free + 200 rs. product he gave to her.

1800. Coz he retained 200 rupees from the 1000 rupees fetched in change.
Basically...
Lady got 200 rupee worth of stuff. Plus 800 cash.
Seller lost 200 rupees of stuff, 800 rupees of cash, 1000 rupees of cash but retained 200 rupees from the change.

Jab tak shopkeeper fake note return nahi kiya tab tak transaction was no profit no lossAgar note fake nahi hota to transaction was okay Note change karne ke liye kitna paisa gaya? 1000? Loss hua 1000.

As long as note was not fake transaction was all good? He had to give 1000 real money to change fake note? Net loss 1000:p

My way of looking at it. Since the shop keeper is selling goods at zero margin; any profit made by the lady would be his loss. We can ignore the other shop keeper, because he gets his money back. He gives 1000 to the dude and then takes 1000 back. No profit/loss here. Now, profit made by the lady = 800 cash + 200 goodsThus total loss = 1000.I guess :p

shopkeeper selling the goods with zero profit
From what I understand, this element is inserted to remove the possibility of profit margins on the goods sold.
