I am not sure. I had used Airtel for more than a decade before I gave it up completely 2 years ago. Though it was not a single connection. I once had 3 connections at my place. Than 2 and in the end just one.

Years ago haha I was hoping you would say just a couple months so maybe the same would apply to my situation and the unfeasible would become feasible again :P Tough luck.

i am not getting you. i just applied for airtel this week and i got the 4mbps connection easily. i think that is largely because there are a bunch of empty houses around my place and others are mostly retired or old people.

Well I had applied for an Airtel connection and they said it's not feasible. Saw your post and you also went through the not-feasible but now feasible phase so just wanted to see how much time gap there was in between. Was somehow magically hoping the same will happen to me :)

I had said that 8mbps was not feasible in my area. Earlier I was also told that 4mbps was not feasible in my area. So I dropped the idea and went for Reliance Broadband. This time around 4mbps was given to me without hassle. The installation guy pushed for 8mbps, I said I would happily take it. He checked and then told me that I was right and Airtel cannot give 8mbps at my place.

In your case, you would need to wait for someone to leave their connection or Airtel to install a new box. The former has a better chance of happening. Ask around in your locality if anyone has a spare airtel connection. :D

Its time I take matters into my own hands :D

I guess I'll just have to ride this dry spell out; don't expect anything from Reliance. I'll be moving in Nov or Dec anyways so let's hope at least Airtel won't reject me then. Never thought an internet connection would cause so much headache :shake:

The last time I checked, you can at least keep safe custody service for 1 year.

cool. would try to do that. is attaching a copy of the bill necessary? i do not think i have the last bill saved with me. though i think i can download a copy of the bill from selfcare?
