It is behaving quite strange, without cloning also it is saying PON registered and after changing serial number also it is registered but was not able to connect with PPPOE credentials on PC, not sure where things are going wrong

Strange are onts registering automatically and MAC IDs are restricted, can anyone confirm

Be sure that you've set the VLAN ID on either in the ONT or in PC

I dont anything about this but can confirm that my Nokia ont automatically registers \ connects to PPPoE session after I do a hard reset. Each time.

That's because it gets registered with the GPON SN (hard coded in the firmware, doesn't reset unless you change the firmware) and gets auto configuration via TR-069

VLAN ID is put in ONT still not able to authenticate, but why GPON always shows as registered with different serial numbers

I have the same issue of not being able to connect TP-Link ZX000-G7 despite changing GPON SN and setting VLAN/PRIO to 100/0

@pjgowtham are you using a router or a PC with your XPON terminal?
