how to set up the wireless connection

hey everyone... i am currently using the Bsnl connection and the router supplied is UTSTARCOM WA3002G4. For the wireline connection it has already been setup. But since it is a wireless router i was thinking of connecting it wirelessly with my laptop, but have no idea how to set it up for that. Any pointers?

in your laptop.. search for "available wireless networks" .connect to the name corresponding to your UTSTARCOM WA3002G4.if your router is password protected, it should, then you need to enter password.In ur laptop, configure your wLan card in "get Ip & dns in automatic" mode.or similar to you wired connection setting, changing the IP. let me know if u got any problem

If you still not able to connect please follow the steps:-
1. Double-click on the "WiFi Connection" icon. It can be found in the system tray at the bottom of the laptop screen.

2. Click on "Properties." Select the "Wireless Networks" tab.

3. Use the "Add" button at the bottom of the dialog if your WiFi network isn't in the "Available Networks" section.

4. Click on "Configure" when you see your network's SSID in the "Available Networks."

5. Enter your network's SSID and WEP key.

6. Click on "Start," then choose "Connect To" and "Wireless Network Connection." Your computer should now be able to access the WiFi network. If the WiFi network is connected to the Internet, it should also be able to connect to the Internet.

Apart from suggestions given above, try
"Always On" PPP/PPPoE instead of "Bridged"
Enable DHCP in modem/router.
Select Obtain IP address automatically in both
desktop and laptop.

thanks a ton for all the help guys!! but the problem still is that i am unable to access 192.168.1.1, the page from where i will get to change the router's settings. I am already using the wireline connection, but now that a friend staying with me has got another laptop i thought about configuring the router for wireless connection, for which i have to change the router settings...but how do i do that when i unable to access the routers page!

I have the same problem with my wireless router Dl-524,My laptop shows , it has connected to the wireless router, but when I try to connect to the net using the normal login and password I have for the wired connection, it gives an error (678) telling the remote computer did not respond.HELP HELP

are you trying to access simultaneously from 2 pcs?? is the wifi machine able to access 192.168.1.1 ?
