How to test my BSNL ADSL Modem (Siemens Nokia)?

Dear All, Recently, I have received the BSNL ADSL modem and an associated CD. It is a type 2 modem, having one ethernet port and a wi-fi port. BSNL people have completed the connections. However, I have not yet received the password. How to test whether the modem is at all working or not, without knowing the password. Kindly suggest.

you cannot connect to the internet without knowing your password.. so you cannot test the internet.. but if you are keen on accessing your modem try http://192.168.1.1

Connect the set up. Probably BSNL has entered your User ID and password in the modem.Try @superprash2003 's suggestion.

You need ID and PW only for dialup mode. Just give a try whether it is "Always On "mode.
