How to Track SBI Debit Card's status?

I like HDFC in private sector banks. When having problems, I have tweeted and emailed them and they have worked on it very fast.

and there is SBI I have mailed them twice, Talked to CC, emailed to DGM grievances couple of days ago but that guy seems to be too busy to send acknowledgment of my email.
Even send "unhappy" to their CC to get a callback but nothing is working for me.

It was a horrible experience for me to get net banking kit from SBI. I was very young that time(in 2010) the babu sitting there saw me and said "Beta kya karoge Internet banking le ke koi fraud kr lega" :D:D
I simply replied I am above 18 and can take care of mine

One advantage for me to have a PPF account in SBI is that I can make PPF payments online through net banking, and the branch is in walking distance from my home. And it's a government bank so it will be more reliable than a private bank for PPF considering HDFC doesn't even support PPF. Also all my relatives are having their accounts in SBI, so I thought why not get myself one too. Other than that there's nothing really special

Even I opted SBI for the same reason. SBI is more trustworthy than any bank in India. SBI employees have to deal with the most no. of illiterate,semi-illiterate, Educated acting as fools type of customers so their frustration is obvious. Whenever I visit branch I find at least 20 customers who visit branch just to know their acc. balance. SBI should install cash deposit machines, passbook printing machines at every branch

You really think that private banks can fail? There are way too many safeguards in place to ensure that private banks do not fail. Government banks on the other hand are saved using tax payer's money. Private banks on the other hand have to be more careful because they do not have the same protection. Personally, I hate the idea of saving banks which ends up funding scammers like Vijay Mallya with our money.

No, RBI won't let any private banks fail easily. But sometimes they have some hidden terms and conditions that's the reason most of us avoid them. Vijay Malya had political backing without that his loans could not have approved.

PPF is a government operated scheme right? So how can there be hidden terms?
I have my PPF account in BoB largely because I opened it around 10 years ago and private banks were not allowed IIRC.
Today, I would stick to a private bank for the same just like my regular banking.

Government banks are not saints. Pretty much every bank now (both SBI and Andhra Bank require this in my sector's market) require you to open a savings account with them if you want to open a PPF account with them. Not sure if it is mandatory. It shouldn't be. But that's how it is.
