I recently got a new bsnl connection. (Home 500). I use it via wireless router so i get connected wenever i turn on laptop. How can i use the night unlimited plan as i came to know that it shud onlt be used after 2.00 AM and before 8 AM.
that means you are using ppoe mode..there is a way using a telnet script to restart modem at 2:10am and 7:50am .. so that you can download between that time..which modem are you using?
it says system cud not find phone book entry for connect
after the line rasdial dataone is executed
what you are doing works for bridge mode in which you use windows to dial to connect to net by entering your username/password.in your first post you said that you get connected whenever you turn on the laptop which means you are using pppoe mode(in which modem dials for you & make the connection as soon as modem is on so you don't have to do anything except turning on your computer/laptop to connect).
for pppoe mode you have to use telnet script to reboot the modem.rasdial will work only for bridge mode.
i confirmed with a bsnl person he said that u donot have to reboot modem for using night unlimited is it so that this has been chaged for new bsnl customers
Does the readings show separately for Night usage ?
When the bill ( may be for huge amount charging NU) comes "the person" will tell you to contact the A.O !
