HSGQ ODI / DFP-34X-2C2 GPON ONU SFP

It’s direct connection from Airtel with landline phone. It's in bangalore and I don't think here LCO provides.

Also as I mentioned, if I use their ONT or Huawei 8120C, I've to use 100 as Vlan id. But in TP-Link and odi, I've to use 1503. I think some vlan translation is not happening in these devices.

@hariselio i am on the same firmware as I uploaded and its working fine here.

but I have kept vlan transparent and set 100 in Mikrotik, odi cant handle that.

Also in my case I had to put mackey also for internet to work, I got o5 without mackey also but internet never worked.

Airtel never blacklists the ONU.

Also the seller sent me a hybrid version firmware today morning.

@NINJASTROM also faced the same problem for him vlan 100 didn't worked he used the same as yours 1503 + he only gave me the idea for mackey as he did the same.

ALSO THE SFPs are coming these are the APC ones

@anmolbhard004 Mackey is by default already set right? at least in my case its set. I see @NINJASTROM also from bangalore. So this VLAN issue only specific this region or related to Alcatel OLT.

In hybrid firmware, setting VLAN in ODI itself working fine. That was my last firmware, where i set 100 in ODI and nothing in Mikrotik, all was fine for few hours before everything gone for toss :(. Even though this hybrid firmware is working exactly what i wanted, it is doing something else too which caused whole fiasco :(.

@anmolbhard004 actually Mackey is not applicable for GPON and confirmed from one more person in the github discussion who faced the same issue.

In airtel case, it is only serial number is enough. The different vlan id is something to do with Nokia/Alcatel OLT. Even in other country people who faced similar issue having Alcatel as OLT.

So for now decided to not to experiment anything with ODI, continue with old firmware.

Any info on when you receive the new ODI lot ? I want keep one backup for myself.

@anmolbhard004 I was looking for the same SFP XPON-ONU-Stick and guess where I found you as well, on alibaba reviews section first haha. I read your review there and then I was casually looking through articles to verify my research. Then on this forum, oh he’s the same Anmol Bhardwaj.

By any chance you have an extra SFP stick which I can buy from you? I’m also in the same boat and looking to connect my ISP’s fiber without its shitty ONU.

Also, which model do you recommend in between these two - HSGQ-XPON-Stick or DFP-34X-2C2? I’m actually confused because on other articles in this forum I read that this stick has bugs?

My ISP:
Netplus FTTH, which uses an ZTE ONU with SC/APC connector.
