Whenever i start downloading torrents,after about 2 hours the modem hangs.The yellow light next to the orange light gets stuck and I cannot access the internet.Whenever this happens I have to restart my modemIs there any way to solve this problem.I have Home Combo plan.Upto to 2mbps.

Thanks for the info. iam having the same problems with my modem.I'll see if it helps.
How have y'all configured utorrent? In particular, the maximum number of connections etc?

I've found that setting too large a number can choke the SmartAX MT841 modem. Also, go to "Advanced>>Firewall" in ADSL configuration and check your settings. Check the diagnostic log too. It is possible that you are getting attacked sometimes that can cause the modem to drop connection.

My lease times also shows 168 minutes but I stay connected all day (and night). No issues.

Hi, I had same problem for last one week. It started when I installed trendmicro internet security on Vista. The TIS has compatibility problem, even though they claim it sorted out.
Solution: Uninstall present antivirus and install NIS 2008/9 or Kaspersky

Hey guys, I did observe one thing. If your modem is internally logged in, then you will face this hanging issue. Even I faced it. But, what I did is reset my modem, and then simply used normal Dial-up to connect to the internet. I kept for downloading, kept my modem in a place where no much air could pass in (so that it heats up a little bit). And surprisingly I am facing no issues of hangig. So definitely it is no hardware problem. Not even the heating issue. It could be a software issue. Will check out what can eliminate that problem. But for now, the hanging issue is off. But ofcourse, you won't be able to use your Wi-Fi connection is this case.
