High security number bullshit is not mandatory in Karnataka for the time being. However the SA was hell bend in selling me that for 2k. I have got the normal number plate for the time being.

What the bullshit is power brake, the brake should work even when the engine is not running..There was nothing this sort in normal i10. Or I should get used to this now or never switch off the engine in traffic.

I am not sure about Grand really. I have not really driven it enough to remember it :P But it was indeed a major problem on my Linea. Brakes basically were useless when the engine was off.

Yes, the brakes are useless when the engine is not running. This is annoying!

However I must admit, Grand i10 is a fun car to drive in traffic with the easiness of gear changing along with the steering.

My neighbor got so impressed with the car he booked Grand i10 within 2 hours after driving my car. There are now 4 Grand i10 in my apartment now and all petrol.

I also miss the speed sensing locks. This is such a simple and extremely useful safety feature, must to have in my view as you cannot always remember to lock after getting into the car.

heh yeah i guess. it does not even happen in my variant. there is a button that can lock and unlock but the car does not lock itself up without manual action. very absurd. and of course, i absolutely hate the missing gauges for temperature, average, distance to empty etc. :|

but i do like the fact that the steering locks itself as soon as you open the door. no need to do it manually. in fact you cannot lock it manually while inside the car. very useful.

Good that Hyundai has given the feature to lock all doors from a button even in the Magna version.

And yes, the gauges mentioned by you is surly missed. The engine running time is useless feature IMO, It shows something as 3 hours when I have been running the car for hardly 10 min.

yeap. celerio has all of these at least in the vxi auto model :P i was so pissed off when i saw it.

While discussing about Grand i10 with friends, someone asked if "Roof Rails" can be opted out? Is it possible to not have roof rail fitted?

Also what are positives and negatives of Grand i10 Diesel over Petrol?

Roof rails are only on the top variants I think? Not sure though.
I am not even sure what they are for.
