As shown in the video can one just buy this SIP phone and configure this with current Airtel ZTE FL670 router. Or more hardware needs to be bought to get it work via wifi.

Brdr, unless you have the ZTE unlocked, you can't get any IP Phone to work with it.
So yeah, we do need to buy additional hardware in order to make it work, in most cases.

I may be able to procure a unlocked ZTE FL760 which was earlier used with Hathaway. Is there a risk of AIrtel locking the firmware and upgrading it. As then the investment will go waste.

Thanks, once i get the the unlocked FL670, will setup. Not sure what dont enable TR069 means.
Currently the connection name shows as WAN-TR069_INTERNET, will i need to setup a different connection.

I just need to have an option to use wireless voip phone and put this in bridge mode to use with my existing Linksys router.

TR069 is the protocol Airtel uses to push settings on your router and firmware updates.
So that's why it has to be disabled.
And using a WiFi IP Phone and bridge mode should totally be possible without an unlocked F670L.

Problem is Airtel does not enable bridge mode easily and gives run around. So with unlocked router i will not have dependency.
Also without unlocked router WIFI Ip phone may not work.
